1-2-1 home puppy training across East and West Sussex

Puppy tuition plus: Now comes with the Dogs In Line special guide to puppy training, plus exclusive offers off other pet services

Do you want some advice and guidelines before you get your new puppy ? This is a popular course that gives you and your “puppy the best start possible”!

Structure: This course consists of three visits. Initial meeting will include a 1 hour consultation (preferably one week before you get your puppy).

The first meeting is to discuss things such as, what to buy, how to settle your puppy in, first steps of house training, introducing your puppy to other family members or pets, plus any questions you may have. The second visit takes 2 hours. Once your puppy has settled in we will cover common early behavioural traits such as house training, teething/biting, chewing, house manners as well as training sit-stay-down. The final visit normally 1.1/2 hour this is a follow up lesson after your puppy is fully vaccinated. On this lesson together we will go for a walk… I will show you how to train your puppy out and about. We will cover walking on the lead, how to meet and greet dogs and people politely as well as sit, stay and recall. Again this will also give you a chance to get all your questions answered in a friendly private environment. This is a fantastic courses aimed at puppies from 7 to 20 weeks.

Dogs In Line is a unique 1-2-1 puppy training service based in Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex. Instead of training the puppy I teach the owner to train their puppy in their home. Puppies begin to develop their personalities early on in their life so once you’ve chosen the right puppy for you it is really beneficial to start puppy training immediately. This will curtail any potential behavioural problems that may develop later on, such as aggression issues. Training will also help you understand your puppy as an individual as his or her personality develops.

With my help you can give your puppy the best start possible...

Owning a puppy is not always easy and knowing “what is the right thing to do” can be very challenging especially with all of the advice and mixed messages out there. If you knew what to do from the start and had proper support then things would be a lot smoother. With this in mind I have created two specific puppy programs that will equip you and your family with the essential skills and knowledge on how to raise your puppy. This special tuition creates clear lines of communication that will help your puppy to develop in a positive way.

Dogs in line puppy tuition: Now comes with the Dogs In Line special guide to puppy training, plus exclusive offers off other pet services

Puppies are just as capable of learning basic commands as an adult dog. Even though a puppy’s personality is still forming you have a hand in shaping who he or she will become as a dog, as well as teaching them what you expect and how they will act as they mature. Puppies, like dogs, need to know who’s in charge and puppy training with positive reinforcement, consistency, calmness, patience and understanding, all makes a difference. Consequently you will have a puppy that grows up with a healthy state of mind compared to one who is confused and unsure of what is expected of him or her.

Structure: The initial meeting is a two hour consultation (preferably involving your whole family) in your home, then a 1 ½ hours follow-up lesson after your puppy is fully vaccinated. Together we will cover common early behavioural traits such as house training, teething, biting, chewing and house manners, as well as training sit-stay-down, walking on the lead and recall. You will also have an opportunity to ask any questions in a friendly and private environment. This course is aimed at puppies from 7 to 20 weeks.
